Led by Dr. Marcel Lukas, Vice Dean of Executive Education at the University of St Andrews Business School, the masterclass explored the evolving capabilities women leaders need in a rapidly changing organisational landscape. Through a rich combination of interactive lectures, case discussions, and practical exercises, participants examined evidence-based leadership, ethical decision-making, and strategies for navigating complexity while leading high-performing teams.
A key highlight of the session was an in-depth discussion on how Generative AI is reshaping Malaysia’s energy sector and the strategic competencies required for women to thrive in traditionally male-dominated industries. Attendees also engaged in thoughtful dialogue on reducing gender imbalances, strengthening representation, and building more inclusive leadership pipelines across the region.
The masterclass concluded with an exclusive preview of the Women in Energy International Residency Programme, launching in St Andrews in May 2026, offering participants an exciting opportunity to expand their global leadership perspectives.
The event received strong support from attendees across sectors and reaffirmed the shared commitment of MGA Executive Education and the Women Leadership Foundation to advancing women’s leadership, accelerating representation, and cultivating future-ready leaders in Malaysia and beyond.
